Receptionist/file clerk

Job Description

A well-established firm in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a highly organized, professional, and detailed-oriented full-time Receptionist/File Clerk to join our team.

The ideal candidate will greet clients and guests with professionalism and courtesy, efficiently manage a high volume of incoming calls, maintain and update the conference room calendar, and provide general administrative support to staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic office tasks, including faxing, scanning, and photocopying (required)
• General understanding of law firm office procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask efficiently and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines consistently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); experience with ProLaw is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain case files, including accurate indexing of pleadings and evidentiary materials
• Identify, sort, and categorize a variety of document types (financial, legal, corporate, real estate, etc.)
• Maintain the organization and functionality of the file room
• Update and manage client records and internal databases
• Provide administrative assistance to attorneys and support staff as needed
• Maintain and update the firm’s conflict and referral lists
