Quality Inspector
Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Summary of Position
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing and supporting routine and special quality inspections to ensure products meet established specifications and regulatory requirements. This role conducts visual, dimensional, and functional inspections, line clearances, and first article inspections while supporting efficient manufacturing operations. The Quality Control Inspector documents inspection results, reports findings, monitors corrective actions, and ensures proper product identification and traceability.
Essential Functions
- Perform and document hourly inspections, line clearances, and training activities in accordance with inspection instructions.
- Develop inspection plans in collaboration with Production Quality Engineers; support Quality Technical Plan (QTP) execution for new components.
- Perform, document, and maintain First Article Inspections and Retention Samples.
- Review, approve, and maintain Device History Records (DHRs) for all manufacturing functions in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Investigate, document, and resolve daily quality issues.
- Provide documented training within the assigned shift or department, including temporary and contract employees.
- Initiate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) as required and support corrective action activities.
- Analyze and trend key inspection process metrics.
- Close NCMRs and work orders in accordance with LN standard procedures.
1 st shift 5:30am 2:00pm $19.50/hr Mon – Fri
Location : 1 position in Carlsbad and 1 position in San Diego
