Verjus, the wine bar and restaurant from the team behind Quince and Cotogna, is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations and help shape the next chapter of one of San Francisco’s most beloved hospitality destinations.

Verjus is a dynamic, intimate space rooted in thoughtful service, exceptional food and wine, and genuine hospitality. The General Manager will be responsible for leading the restaurant with warmth, accountability, and precision—overseeing service, team leadership, financial performance, and the overall guest experience while upholding the standards of the Verjus brand.

• Oversee all front-of-house operations and ensure smooth, polished daily service
• Lead, coach, and develop the FOH team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality
• Partner closely with culinary and ownership teams to maintain alignment across service, operations, and guest experience
• Drive financial performance through labor management, cost control, inventory oversight, and revenue awareness
• Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, organization, and operational execution
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for FOH team members
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and labor regulations
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery with grace, urgency, and professionalism
• Contribute to ongoing operational improvements and help elevate systems, communication, and team performance

• 3+ years of leadership experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior restaurant leader in a high-touch hospitality environment
• Strong floor presence and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable
• Strong organizational and administrative skills, including scheduling, payroll awareness, inventory, and reporting
• Financial acumen and comfort managing labor, budgets, and operational costs
• Wine knowledge and enthusiasm for restaurant culture, food, and beverage
• Calm, solutions-oriented approach with excellent judgment and communication skills
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
