Job Description:

As a Host/Hostess at Odyssey Restaurant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their dining experience. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a positive and memorable impression.

Pay : $17.00 - $18.50 / hour

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

2. Reservation Management: Manage restaurant reservations efficiently, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely communication with guests.

3. Seating Arrangements: Escort guests to their tables, providing them with menus and ensuring they are comfortable.

4. Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with their selections.

5. Guest Service: Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guests' needs, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally and courteously.

6. Team Communication: Collaborate with servers, chefs, and other staff members to ensure seamless coordination and excellent service.

7. Special Requests: Handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and accommodations with attention to detail and care.

8. Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the host/hostess area and lobby are clean and organized at all times.

9. Upselling: Promote restaurant specials, beverages, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calmness and courtesy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of reservation management software is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operation.
