Wine & Spirits Sales, Los Angeles (East)

Job Description:

V59 Wines, the California distribution arm of Vintage '59 Imports, is seeking a driven sales representative to service restaurant and retail accounts in primarily the eastern half of greater Los Angeles. This position will be focused on both prospecting for new business and growing existing accounts.

- you have an approachable and responsive communication style with customers and coworkers alike
- you share in our enthusiasm for wines & spirits of artisanal family production
- you possess initiative, work ethic, and resilience; hold yourself to high standards
- you can contribute to the success of our sales team at an individual and company level
- you show history of ability for making sales in wholesale, restaurant, specialty wine retail, or similar environment
- you have some great relationships within the wine & spirits community in your territory, and know how to network
- you reside in sales territory
- you have a reliable car and clean driving record
- you are able to work evenings and occasional weekends to meet business needs, as part of a flexible workweek
- you have a home office (or alternative available workspace) with reliable cell phone & internet connectivity
- you are 21 years or older
- you are looking for a long term professional home,

and even better, if you have:
- experience selling small production European and West Coast USA wines & spirits at wholesale or other level
- established network of contacts with buyers within territory at on- and off-premise accounts
- French or Italian language skills
- a wine certification
- familiarity with producers in the Vintage ’59 book.

Compensation is primarily commission-based but includes base salary and generous expense reimbursement. Employees are eligible for 100% company-sponsored health insurance on commencement of employment, and are eligible for SIMPLE IRA retirement saving benefit with 3% company match after 12 months.
