Job Description and Duties

Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary by 3% in exchange for leave credits. The salary range(s) included on this job advertisement do not reflect this reduction in pay. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue PLP 2025 hours on the first day of each pay period in accordance with their applicable Bargaining Unit contract .

Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, the Program Technician II is responsible for providing specialized program administrative support to the Seismic Hazards Program to assure efficient processing and recording of review of geologic and seismic hazards reports for school and hospital sites in California; assist in the intake and processing of geotechnical reports submitted in compliance with the Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zoning Act and the Seismic Hazards Mapping Act; maintain lists of local government planning and building department contacts; prepare letters and other correspondence related to preliminary and official zone map releases.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. This position is contingent on budget approval.

Working Conditions

This position is located at Sacramento (HQ) and requires daily in-office attendance at 715 P Street, MS 1901 Sacramento, CA 95814. Alternative work locations will not be considered.
