QA Data Entry Clerk

The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for seasonal Quality Assurance Data Entry Clerk to collect data, update and develop new and existing databases; work with large amounts of numerical and text data for Pouch & Industrial Departments. This role will be responsible for ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices Policies (GMP's) Safety and Health Hazard Analysis and Critical Control (HACCP) procedures are being followed at all times at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA. This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically June - October.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enters data into appropriate fields, databases, records, and files in Excel and Word.
• Maintains hardcopy and electronic records, databases, and reports.
• Generates and modifies Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
• Reviews and verifies confidential and/or private customer information.
• Runs reports to ensure data entry accuracy and verifies data by checking and comparing source documentation.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of the position.
• One year of experience in data entry and maintaining documentation, preferably in a food manufacturing laboratory or quality control environment.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and written in English.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Compensation:

The hourly wage is $17 - $20, based on experience and qualifications.
