Digital Design Engineer

We are seeking a lead Digital Design Engineer who will be designing the digital systems and building blocks for MEMS microphones. Together with the analog/mixed-signal designers, test development engineers and other team members, you will be developing high-performance, low-power ASICs from concept to high-volume production

Requirements

Specific Duties and Responsibilities :

• Work out the digital architecture and design specification in collaboration with the project team.
• Perform RTL design & synthesis and supervise RTL-to-GDS.
• Work out the digital verification plan.
• Verify the digital system and blocks in collaboration with the digital verification engineer.
• Develop low-power audio signal processing architectures.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:

• Advanced Degree in electronic engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of proven track record in developing digital blocks/systems for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits in a consumer or industrial R&D environment.
• Good understanding of the entire digital design flow and DFT.
• Hands-on experience in designing low-power digital circuits.
• Experience with sigma delta ADCs or audio signal processing is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge in EDA tools such as Cadence (Conformal, Genus, Tempus etc.)
• Structured and methodological approach.
• Strong team player.
• Good spoken and written communication skills in English.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $190,000 - $220,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Syntiant, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
