Wedding Facilitator

Wedding Facilitators (WF) play a vital role at Scribner Bend Vineyards (SBV), as they are responsible for helping to oversee weddings hosted on the winery grounds. WF are enthusiastic individuals with strong interpersonal skills and management knowledge who promote an exceptional guest experience and a positive teamwork atmosphere. WF report directly to the Sales & Event Manager.

This is a part time seasonal position that requires a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per month March-November. These shifts generally go from 3:45pm-12:15am, but may shift to as early as 2:45pm-11:15pm. There is also the possibility of an additional 1-2 days office support per week for the right person. Duties include but are not limited to:

Staff & vendor management

• Oversee 2-6 Event Staff members per event, from beginning to end
• Make sure all details are set up and broken down correctly
• Ensure exceptional customer service at all times
• Coordinate with wedding vendors and security guard to ensure things are running smoothly and everyone is where they need to be

Event facilitating

• Follow a structured set of Detail Documents and Timeline for the event to ensure all pieces are completed in a timely manner
• Coordinate the wedding processional and keep event running on time
• Check in with vendors at key moments during the duration of the event

Miscellaneous

• Set up and break down the wedding/event with other Event Staff
• Be the professional point of contact between the client and SBV during the event
• Be able to effectively think of their feet and solve any issues that may occur
• Partner with Paesanos Catering Managers to ensure cross-company teamwork

Skills and Experience

• A background in hospitality management or event coordinating is a plus, not required.
• Excellent Management and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented and ability to troubleshoot in a calm/quick manner.
• Possess a strong work ethic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft products.
• Passion for and knowledge of wine industry is preferred, not required.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License
• Must complete legally required Alcohol Server and Harassment Prevention Trainings
• Please note that this position requires standing on your feet for long periods of time, heavy lifting, twisting, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
