We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Build and implement software services and web applications on the platform securely, reliably, and at scale. Identify opportunities and improve PayPal’s products by innovating and delivering quality products with best of user experience. Work with abstract architecture and move existing non generic code to a more generic and abstract framework when necessary. Design and development best practices to significantly drive faster iteration and experimentation. Collaborate with product and design teams to develop and iterate on new software technology ideas and explore new opportunities. Write code that is designed to be reusable and that can be shared amongst other teams. Build, manage, mentor, and coach a team of highly skilled frontend, and full-stack Engineers. Develop and communicate technical processes, standards, and best practices to the team. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered as a software engineer, or a related occupation.

Additional Job Description:

Base salary: $226,158.00-287,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
