About Us

At British Swim School of Northern East Bay, we do more than teach swimming—we save lives. Our mission is to equip every swimmer, from infants to adults, with the water survival skills they need to be safer and more confident around water. We’re not your typical swim school: our classes are filled with smiles, high-fives, and a whole lot of fun!

As we grow, we’re looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our passionate team. If you love working with kids, want to make a real impact, and enjoy having fun at work, we want to meet you!

What You’ll Do

• Teach essential water survival skills and swimming techniques in small, personalized classes.
• Create a fun, engaging, and safe environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
• Celebrate each swimmer’s milestones with big smiles, high-fives, and genuine encouragement.
• Use songs, praise, and positive energy to keep lessons lively and enjoyable.
• Communicate swimmer progress to parents, helping them feel confident and informed.
• Participate in ongoing training and team events to continually grow your skills.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for working with children and teaching water safety.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive, energetic attitude.
• Strong communication and people skills—you love encouraging and motivating others.
• Comfort in the water (teaching experience is a plus, but not required).
• Lifeguard certification is preferred (or willingness to earn it within 90 days—we’ll support you!).
• Availability for weekend mornings (8:30 am–1:30 pm) and weekday afternoons (2:30 pm–7:30 pm).
• Ability to reliably commute to our pool locations in Richmond, El Cerrito, and Walnut Creek.
