Kona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are currently seeking a positive, hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our fantastic team as our Staff Accountant – Income Auditor at our island-inspired resort.

This role will report to: The Director of Finance and Controller

Requirements

• Experience as income auditor or night auditor
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a previous hotel preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Time Management skills to complete all work in allotted time
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent attention to details to meet both internal and external client needs
• Excellent problem resolution skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

To be successful in this role you should have the ability to successfully:

• Balance the daily income audit journal with accuracy and minimal direction
• Review daily clearing charges to insure all customers are properly charged
• Reconcile the daily credit card and bank cash deposit
• Issue the daily revenue report to the management group
• Coordinate the labor management schedule with operations and issue out the weekly labor report
• Perform monthly inventory
• Review and distribute the daily approval packets to management
• Review the group deposit log and follow up on past due deposits
• Process credit applications with HCA
• Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor

Salary Description

$25.50/hr.
