Shipping and Receiving Clerk- Manufacturing

Connect Staffing is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a vinyl manufacturing company in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $20/hr with a Monday–Friday schedule plus mandatory overtime and weekends. In this role, you will load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift and pallet jack, process receiving documentation, and stage outgoing vinyl roll shipments. This is a long-term placement opportunity at an established manufacturing facility.

Pay: $20/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8AM–4:30PM, plus mandatory OT and weekends

Responsibilities

• Process receiving documentation and log incoming inventory into the inventory management system.
• Review customer orders and shipping instructions to verify correct items and quantities.
• Select and stage finished vinyl rolls for outbound shipments according to order requirements.
• Package and label outgoing shipments securely to prevent damage in transit.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
• Maintain an organized shipping and receiving area in compliance with facility safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• 6+ months of recent shipping and receiving experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using a pallet jack in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software.
• Experience packaging and labeling freight or LTL shipments.
• Background in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial supply environment.
• Experience with vinyl, roll goods, or other bulk material handling.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
