Position Summary
SHEIN Global Security and Risk Management (GSRM) is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, business fraud, governance, and regulatory compliance across SHEIN’s global footprint. It is composed of a team of security professionals, innovators and thought leaders that have had decades of global security experience, led large scale transformations, and served in Fortune 500 executive roles.
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Software Engineer (Security Automation/Integration) (Official title: Software Engineer I) for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. We are at the forefront of innovation, designing advanced cloud and on-prem security threat management products that unify asset tracking, threat observability, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection using cutting-edge analytics, visualization, and integration methods. Our team is passionate about delivering solutions that ensure the highest level of security for our global operations.
This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development to create robust, scalable, and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software architecture, security principles, and the ability to work across the entire software development lifecycle. You will be deeply involved in onsite and cloud systems and remote support for our remote systems and offices. With a strong automation mindset, you will work under the direction of the team leader and closely with the security business partners to transition and document IT infrastructure/security projects from engineering to production support.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and architect automated solutions for complex enterprise network and security applications
- Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the user experience for security operations.
- Develop components and micro services to interact with REST APIs and automate for efficiency, observability, and security.
- API integrations and deployment with a diverse range of industry leading enterprise application software
- Develop, maintain, and keep updated IT procedures and documentation related to our processes and platform operations
- Collaborate with department personnel and design innovative solutions for complex IT and security issues
- Sustain high-availability service levels and ensure fulfillment of business-wide service levels and operational support objectives.
- Lead individual contributor in network and security infrastructure projects in designing and evaluating new technologies
- Ensure SHEIN maintains a solid cyber security posture by adhering to and implementing information security best practices in accordance with industry standards, federal and local laws
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant Developer experience preferred
- Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Computer Science or related discipline, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience preferred
- Proven experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g PowerShell, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, Bash)
- Strong knowledge of and experience with design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of AWS cloud platform, or other comparable cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP
- Strong working and practical knowledge of industry IT standards and regulations
- Experience with change management lifecycle, development and regular preparation of management status and key metrics reports
- Ability to work with extremely technical staff working on very sensitive subject areas and with extremely sensitive information
- High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exudes the appropriate level of judgment and maturity

$111,700 - $187,100 USD
