As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you are indeed a generalleading your team in delivering an exceptional food service experience. You will be involved in training and supporting drive-in restaurant employees, ensuring that food is delivered in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, and that our customers have an excellent experience.

Essential General Manager Job Duties

• Manage, train, monitor, and coach crew/team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.
• Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepare employee work schedules and adjust staffing as needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels; order supplies within budget.
• Maintain employment and payroll records.
• Foster a customer service-focused environment.
• Resolve guest requests promptly and respectfully, and report complaints.
• Hire and interview staff to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Develop operational reports and action plans for financial or sales issues.
• Implement marketing strategies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum two years restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
• Ability to work a minimum of 5 days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruitment, labor laws, and sanitation regulations.
• Leadership, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and solve problems.
• Willingness to adhere to appearance and hygiene standards.
