Flight Readiness Technician C
Description:
The Flight Readiness Technician C maintains, inspects, and troubleshoots T-7 aircraft systems to ensure compliance with technical data and safety protocols. The technician performs maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems, operates ground support equipment, and completes all necessary documentation. This role provides on-the-job training to junior personnel and supports scheduled maintenance programs, inspections, and other operational requirements. The position requires flexibility, adherence to quality management systems, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic aircraft maintenance environment.

#Education & Job Requirements
*High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
*A minimum of 5 years of related aircraft maintenance experience, with a focus on troubleshooting and repair.
*Experience leading and supervising aircraft maintenance tasks.
*Understanding of quality management systems and adherence to established processes and procedures.
*Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements.
*Experience in troubleshooting aircraft malfunctions to the component level.
*Familiarity with electronics, electrical schematics, and circuits.
*U.S. person status for export compliance purposes.
*Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed.
*Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

*Experience in Development Programs or Flight Test Programs.
*Experience with DoD systems, including AFTO 781 forms and IMDS.

*Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
#Job Duties & Functions
*Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot T-7 aircraft systems, including comm/nav and instrument systems, and mechanical/electrical components.
*Utilize technical orders, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose faults and perform repairs at the component level.
*Operate ground support equipment and perform maintenance on assigned aircraft.
*Open and remove aircraft panels, excluding those requiring Command and Response, to perform maintenance and troubleshooting.
*Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and tool control programs.
*Complete all required records manually and electronically per USAF and company policies.
*Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems in compliance with maintenance directives.
*Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior technicians.
*Participate in inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
#Physical Requirements & Environment
*Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
*Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and under equipment.
*Capable of working with aircraft components exposed to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
*Exposure to loud noises, airborne particles, and extreme heat may occur.
*Must be able to perform both domestic and international travel as required.
