Counterperson
Grow West Ukiah Retail/Farm Supply, a leading provider of agricultural supplies and machinery, is seeking a dedicated Counterperson to join our team. This role is integral to our commitment to superior customer service and will be responsible for managing inventory, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining an organized workspace. Seeking candidates with a background in retail, strong communication skills, and familiarity in agriculture.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily orders and ensure timely retrieval of parts and supplies.
- Track inventory using computer systems and maintain sufficient stock levels.
- Handle customer inquiries and orders, both in person and over the phone.
- Inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and report any issues.
- Maintain a safe and orderly storage and warehouse area.
- Order parts and supplies from local stores as necessary.
- Perform daily billing functions and generate invoices for mailing.
- Operate standard office equipment and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Qualifications
- At least one year of related experience and/or training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
- Experience with Merchant Ag is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
