We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Accountant to join our SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting team. Reporting to the Director of Technical Accounting, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting stock-based compensation (SBC) and equity accounting processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, support to international statutory audits, and SBC disclosures for Forms 10-Ks/10-Qs


• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, standards, and SOX internal control procedures


• Preparing the basic and diluted earnings per share computation and forecast of share count


• Forecasting of SBC expense and preparation of SBC fluctuation analyses


• Conducting in-depth research on accounting guidance (from the FASB, Big-4 guides, SEC, and other regulatory bodies) and write technical accounting memos encompassing complex SBC transactional activities and arrangements, including equity incentive awards granted in connection with business acquisitions

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or equivalent certification required


• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in the technology industry, preferably from a Big-4 public accounting firm and/or a publicly held global technology company


• Experience with public companies, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance are essential


• Drive operational excellence by identifying, proposing, and leading process improvements and delivering successful outcomes


• Partner effectively with cross-functional teams to address key areas of responsibility and assist with special projects as needed

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• Familiarity with equity incentive awards management and related tax requirements


• Experience working with statutory audits or financial reporting as related to stock-based compensation


• Familiarity with NetSuite ERP system, Equity Edge Online, and Workiva Wdesk is a plus

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$105,000—$150,000 USD
