Job Title: Inventory Clerk

Pay Rate: $17-$18/hr.

Shift: 1st

Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the logistics manager with tracking inventory levels, maintaining inventory records, and

preparing shipping documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create daily production order numbers in Nutware.

• Track orders and shipments as directed.

• Participate in frequent communications needed with Shipping and Monarch Supervisors to coordinate the production flow and advise on shipment priorities, scheduling sampling, verifying completed testing and fumigation and verifying bookings are complete for shipments.

• Communicate with production, warehouse, and sales teams regarding order fulfillment, shipping schedules, and inventory availability.

• Assist in daily physical inventory count and verify that it reconciles with Nutware; assist with tracing and resolving inventory discrepancies.

• Assist with verifying the Red Folder checklist documents

• May assist in the preparation and logging of other reports, such as air pollution summary reports, the Administrative Committee Pistachio report, month-end reports, sizing reports, rejected and accepted reports, packed reports, shipment reports, offsite reports, etc.

• May assist with running aflatoxin failed lot reports.

• May assist with daily cost per pound reports and the weekly CCP report

• Perform FedEx shipments as needed.

• Assist Sales and Shipping departments as requested.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient with computer

• MS Office such as Excel, Word, & Outlook

• Nutware Knowledge

• Strong verbal and written skills; attention detail and accuracy; good math skills; good analytical skills; ability to stay focused.

• Knowledge of production and shipping process

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent;

• 1 - 2 years’ inventory control or shipping, preferably in a food processing or agricultural facility

Reasoning Abilities: Must be able use common sense and comprehension to carry out details of your job function without written and/or verbal instructions. Must be able to assess and deal with unexpected situations that may arise while carrying out the duties of your job.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role; however, there may be instances in which the employee is required to walk out into the production and warehouses. Be able to lift and move 10 pounds on a regular basis; be able to lift and move 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
