Lead Line Cook
Morning Lead Line Cook @ Little Ripper LA – Glassell Park, Los Angeles
We're looking for an experienced Morning Lead Line Cook to lead our busy brunch service. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in consistency, and enjoys developing a strong team culture.
Schedule:
Wednesday–Sunday | 7:00 AM–2:30 PM
What You'll Do
- Lead and execute a high-volume brunch service.
- Manage daily prep lists and prep schedules with the kitchen team.
- Lead the line during peak service, calling tickets and supporting expo to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of every dish leaving the kitchen.
- Coach, motivate, and hold the team accountable to high standards.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and health department compliant.
- Oversee daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Receive deliveries, inspect product quality, rotate inventory (FIFO), and ensure proper storage of all ingredients.
- Communicate with management to keep service and prep running efficiently.
We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Lead Line Cook, Kitchen Lead, or Sous Chef.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable.
- A team player who leads by example.
