Cal Trans Job Coach

NCI Affiliates is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities through a variety of vocational programs. We are currently seeking both Full Time and Part Time Job Coaches to join our team for our Cal Trans contract. As a Job Coach, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve professional and personal success by providing on-the-job training and support. This position primarily involves assisting with janitorial duties at highway rest stops, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment. Compensation

$23.50 per hour to start (pay range is $23.50 to $25.50 depending on experience) with overtime opportunities. Schedules range from 2-4 days per week, 8 AM to 5 PM, with paid lunches and one hour of overtime each workday over 8 hours. Part time is 2-3 days per week; Full time is 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, guidance, and support to individuals participating in the Supported Employment Program.
• Assist individuals with janitorial duties at Cal Trans rest stops, ensuring tasks are completed to required standards.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment for all team members.
• Model appropriate workplace behavior and encourage independence among individuals served.
• Complete required documentation and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Drive individuals to and from work sites as needed, using an agency van.
• Communicate effectively with individuals served, team members, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Driving is an essential function of this position.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with janitorial work, driving an 11-passenger van, or working with adults with disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Must be able to pass a background check screening.
