Summary
Stifel's Venture Banking team is seeking a passionate and ambitious Business Development Representative in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a unique opportunity to directly report to a Managing Director and member of the Venture bank's operating committee, providing invaluable senior level exposure in a high-growth fast- paced environment.
Stifel launched its Venture Banking practice in 2018 and has recently expanded the team and capabilities to even better serve startups and their investors. Focused on Seed through Late-Stage companies, Stifel provides a dynamic platform of solutions for treasury management, credit, and lending.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate business development activities for senior teams.
- Prospect engagement via LinkedIn, email, and other methods of generating new business.
- Proactively identify, structure, and recommend key strategic tools and programs to scale and accelerate the business development function.
Qualifications
- Skilled at developing, maintaining, and strengthening partnerships with others inside and outside the organization.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
- Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a self-directed fashion.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
- 2+ years' related sales or service experience, ideally with exposure to the startup or venture ecosystem, required. Previous experience with Pitchbook, Salesforce, or related industry tools preferred.
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Salary: $75,000 - $120,000 per year
Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate's qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel's overall compensation package for each individual employee.
