About the role

In this role, you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the residence and ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction. Please note that the role is on a rotation basis and one can expect to work 5 days/ week. Your key tasks will consist of, but not be limited to:

• Checking and making sure that rooms are ready, clean and available for arriving students
• Meeting and greeting new students on arrival
• Assisting with checking in and taking students to rooms
• Informing arriving students about rules and fines (community standards)
• Curfew checks for under 18 year old students
• Regularly checking rooms to ensure accommodation meets high standards of quality, cleanliness, and comfort.
• Assisting students with problems
• Dealing emergency situations should they arise
• Ensuring that residence rules are being adhered to and report all issues to Residence Manager
• Liaising with Residence Staff, organizing and partaking/running activities in residence
• Liaising closely with catering and residence suppliers
• Ensuring a consistently high quality of meals.
• Coordinating damage checks and collecting room deposits
• Assisting student departure: checking rooms, reminding students of leaving date/time & procedures
• Assisting check-out process
• Coordinating with residence staff, onsite cleaning team, laundry supplier for linen pick-up/ drop-off
• Residence on-call duty on rotation
• Other duties assigned by Residence Manager

Requirements

• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Capable of using your own initiative.
• Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
• Complete fluency in English.
• Attend a training weekend before your contract commencing.
• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be over the age of 21+
• Obtain a Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Employment period:

• June - August, 2024

Earnings

• $20/ hour plus Room & Half Board
