Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients; develop and implement individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Conduct bedside swallow evaluations, recommend therapy and dietary modifications, and ensure patient safety and compliance with best practices.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team ( Physicians, nurses, therapists, and speech-language pathology services) and participate in discharge planning and family education.
- Document findings, treatment plans, and progress accurately in patient records; maintain compliance with state and federal licensure, certification, and accrediting requirements.

Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in California
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification or eligibility (per state requirements)
- Relevant experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a day shift; eligible for travel assignments
