Located in sunny, family-friendly Newbury Park, our Southern California Design Center has become a magnet for top talent eager to join Skyworks’ elite team. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge RF front-end modules, collaborating with expert teams across Skyworks’ U.S. and Japan design centers. Over time, this position offers the potential to evolve from an individual contributor into a key leadership role, with ownership of critical aspects of product development.

Responsibilities
- Adapting best MCM design and full module Co-simulation practices
- Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks in a compact environment
- Designing Integrated Passive Devices
- Designing high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module and able to meet stringent requirements such as de-sense and harmonics
- Participating and conducting design review meeting
- Performing lab testing and tuning and using various RF test equipment
The circuit blocks involved in a typical product development may include:
- Power Amplifiers
- Integrated Passive Devices
- SAW/BAW Duplexers & High-Q RF Filters
- Switches
- Low Noise Amplifiers
- Matching circuits
- High-directivity couplers
Hardware Tools Used are:
- Network Analyzers
- Spectrum Analyzers
- Signal Generators
- Digital Receivers
- Load-Pull/Tuners
- RF Probe Stations
Required Experience and Skills
- BSEE and 5 years' work experience or MS and 3 years' experience or PhD
- Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
- Experiences of EM tools such as HFSS, or Momentum
- Lab experiences of network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and probe station
- Knowledge of HBT, FET, CMOS devices
- Knowledge of RF switch design, or power amplifier design, or PA classes, PAE, PA performance
- Knowledge of communication standards, such as LTE-A, WiFi, and the associated standards requirements on such as sensitivity, intermodulation, de-sense, ACLR, EVM
- Experience in ADS, Virtuoso, and Allegro Preferred Skills
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $112,500 - $215,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
