Veterinary Assistant

We are currently looking for Veterinary Assistants to join our dedicated nursing team. Ideally, we are looking for Veterinary Assistants that are interested in advancing through our training tiers and ultimately pursuing a career as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience is a definite plus, but we are definitely interested in candidates that although they may not have much experience yet, they do have a deep love for animals, honor the special bond shared between pets and people and have a burning desire to make a difference in the world.
A Brief Description of this Position:
- As a Veterinary Assistant, this position entails several important aspects including patient care and treatment, client service, and hospital cleanliness.
- Essential duties of the position include: assisting Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinarians with examinations and procedures, patient restraint, medical record management, and various aspects of hospital sanitation.
This position is full-time. Hours can include weekdays, evenings, and rotating weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
The position starts at $18/hour for candidates who are new to the field, with room for increases in pay based on training, skill development, and completing task lists for each tier. Tier II assistants can earn from $16-18, and Tier III assistants can earn between $18-23.
