Technical Business Analyst
Brief Summary:
We're looking for a Tech Business Analyst to join our *Global Technology team* and bridge the gap between business users and technical teams. You'll play a key role in gathering and documenting requirements, improving and documenting workflows, and supporting the delivery of scalable central/global digital Platform across our music label teams. Passion for music and understanding of industry dynamics a big plus Key
Responsibilities:
Work closely with business users (Label teams, Central Marketing teams, etc.) to gather, document, and analyze requirements Translate business needs into clear technical specifications for developers and product managers
Analyze data and support product/feature development Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions Collaborate with engineering and QA teams during development and testing Maintain user stories, process flows, and system documentation Support system rollouts and user training Assist in evaluating new tools and technology solutions Preferre 2+ experience, familiarity with music business trends & data tools (SQL, Python, GCP Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably in a tech-focused role Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, or Scrum methodologies Proficient with tools like Jira, Confluence, Lucid chart, or similar Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Music industry experience highly preferred - understanding of music business processes, CRM systems, rights management, or entertainment technology Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (SQL, Looker, etc) Knowledge of API integration and web services Familiarity with database concepts and data modeling Experience working in entertainment, media, or creative industries
Understanding of digital music platforms, streaming services, or music production workflows Knowledge of music metadata standards and digital asset management
Technical Skills Requirements management tools (Jira, Confluence) Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) Process modeling and documentation tools Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Understanding of integration patterns and APIs
