Are you a seasoned accounting leader with a passion for wine and production environments? We’re seeking a Controller to oversee the financial health of a multi-entity winery operation. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities—from general ledger oversight to internal reporting and team management. What You’ll Do:

• Lead all financial reporting and month-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze internal financial statements and performance reports
• Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Manage budgeting and forecasting by department and entity
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations to ensure inventory accuracy
• Supervise and mentor a high-performing accounting team
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings in partnership with CPAs
• Departmental budget development and variance analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger mapping
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Oversight of inventory accounting and operational costs
• Team leadership, coaching, and performance management
• Support strategic decisions through special projects and ad hoc analysis

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred
• 6+ years in accounting leadership, including prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience in the wine industry or similar manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Exceptional Excel skills and familiarity with modern ERP systems
• Confident communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
