Food Service Job Coach

NCI Affiliates is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal and professional goals. We are seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Food Service Job Coach . This position is part of our Braided Day Program. This role is crucial in providing on-the-job training and support to individuals with disabilities in community-based employment, ensuring their success and growth. Spend half of the day in Vocational Training at Coffee Cafe and the other half of the day with the individuals we serve developing community and vocational skills as an instructor.

Compensation

$23.00 , plus benefits and perks; expected start pay is $23.00.

Schedule

Tuesday through Saturday 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job training and support to individuals at the Orange Dog Cafe in Atascadero, ensuring successful job placement and performance.
• Act as the primary liaison with employers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction with service quality.
• Complete and submit all required documentation, including transportation paperwork, attendance records, and incident reports, by set deadlines.
• Offer continuous instruction tailored to vocational growth and training objectives, aligned with individual abilities and development.
• Promote client advocacy skills and advocate on behalf of individuals served.
• Conduct weekly inventory checks and prepare detailed shopping lists for necessary purchases.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Health Standards and Regulations for safe food handling and storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Restaurant Experience
• Valid California Driver's License for at least 2 years with no major infractions in the last 4 years. Driving is required.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Flexibility in work schedule to meet company needs.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to serve as a role model for adults with disabilities.
• Successful completion of a LiveScan background check.
