Senior Tax Professional
Our client, a professional services firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Professional to join its growing team.
Oakland, CA. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days/week in the office. Job Description:
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tax engagements, partner with business owners and individual clients, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality client service. The position provides strong visibility across the organization, opportunities for professional growth, and exposure to a diverse range of tax matters. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax filings for business and individual clients.
- Conduct tax research and assist with planning initiatives and client advisory projects.
- Analyze tax-related issues and develop practical recommendations.
- Support client engagements by managing deliverables and maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in developing less experienced professionals.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, deadlines, and planning opportunities.
Requirements:
- 3 years of tax experience in a public accounting or professional services environment.
- Experience preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns for businesses and individuals.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and research principles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.
- CPA, EA, or progress toward a professional tax credential preferred.
