Legal Front Desk Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Legal Front Desk Specialist for a contract opportunity supporting a busy legal office environment in Los Angeles, CA. This onsite role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for clients, visitors, attorneys, and staff while providing polished reception, switchboard, hospitality, and administrative support. This position offers steady weekday hours, a professional office setting, and the opportunity to work closely with legal and administrative teams. Key Responsibilities - Welcome and assist visitors, clients, employees, and professional staff with a courteous and polished approach.- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls while maintaining professional phone etiquette and accurate message handling.
- Manage conference room calendars, prepare meeting spaces, and coordinate catering, beverages, supplies, and hospitality needs.
- Provide light administrative support, including invoice entry, document preparation, filing, calendar support, and Microsoft Office tasks.
- Monitor visitor access, follow office security procedures, and assist with tracking badges, phones, and other office property.
- Maintain an organized reception area, support office supply ordering, and assist with additional administrative duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits - Pay Rate: $21 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Duration: Approximately 3+ months.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.

- Manage front desk reception, visitor support, and professional client service in a legal office environment.- Handle incoming calls, switchboard activity, conference room scheduling, and meeting coordination.
- Support administrative tasks such as document preparation, filing, invoice entry, calendar updates, and supply organization.
- Maintain confidentiality, office security procedures, and a polished reception area. - High school diploma required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional phone etiquette and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced professional setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Comfortable using standard office technology and equipment.
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications - Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of related administrative, receptionist, or switchboard experience preferred.
- Legal office, law firm, or professional services environment experience strongly preferred.
- Switchboard or multi-line phone system experience.
- Experience supporting attorneys, executives, or professional staff.
- Strong email management, scheduling, and meeting coordination skills.
