General Responsibilities:

Maintain office building, or other commercial building in clean and orderly condition based on the scope of work. The roving cleaner is responsible for traveling to multiple local sites, cleaning and maintaining assigned areas as needed, filling in for staff on vacation, leave of absence, or sick leave.

Shift :

• Full-time
• Monday - Friday
• 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM

Pay : $25.00 per hour

** Note on roving expectations: You must drive personal vehicle, and you may be assigned to drive to Oceanside or Chula Vista.

Specific Duties / Essential Functions:

• Cleaning offices, lobbies, and common areas.
• Empty trash cans around the property and replace trash bags.
• Cleaning corridors and stairwells.
• Removing trash, cleaning floors, dusting/wiping down all surfaces.
• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
• Operating walk-behind floor cleaning machines (if applicable).
• Cleans and polishes furniture, windows, doors, frames, ashtrays, and fixtures.
• Restocking supplies in, bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Maintain janitor closet and janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Periodically cleans overhead vents and dust blinds.
• Proficiency in English will enhance your ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues and clients, ensuring smooth operations.
• Driving personal vehicle to various sites to provide coverage for employees.
• Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

• Janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.
• High school or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Open availability: Overtime work and schedule adjustments may be needed/necessary. Holiday work may also be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs, carry 12 lbs backpack vacuum, as needed.

Compliance Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I-9 and E-Verify process
• Must complete pre-employment background check. (if applicable)
• Must complete pre-employment drug screen. (if applicable)
• California Food Handlers Card. (if applicable)
• Must complete pre-employment motor vehicle record check. (if applicable)
