Animal Research Associate I, Cell and Gene Therapy (Carlsbad)
- Background in in-vivo research with hands-on experience working with laboratory animals (mouse or rat required).
- Associate’s degree in veterinary technology or animal science, BS with 1-2+ year relevant experience, or HSD/GED with 3+ years relevant experience (education may be offset by experience)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills; experience working under GLPs and SOPs preferred
- Develop and support in-vivo models by handling, restraining, dosing (PO, SQ, IV, ID), monitoring animal health, performing anesthesia/analgesia, post-operative care, and recovery
- Collect biological specimens (blood and other samples), perform study prep activities, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with GLPs, protocols, and SOPs
- Collaborate cross functionally with study directors, investigators, QA/QC, and internal teams while supporting internal research projects and optimizing service offerings
