Locums Emergency Medicine Physician (San Diego)
We are seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team in San Diego, California, for a full-time contracted 1099 position. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a dynamic emergency department while enjoying one of the most desirable locations in the country.
Shift Details:
- 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Perform advanced clinical procedures including airway management, resuscitation, suturing, splinting, and emergency stabilization.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory studies, radiographs, and EKGs.
- Collaborate with specialists and hospital staff to coordinate patient care and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Respond to all codes and rapid response calls as needed.
Requirements:
- Will consider Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Physicians with extensive Emergency Medicine experience.
- Provider does not need a California license must have an active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience.
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
- DEA license with California registration.
