You will play an integral part in all aspects of the internal audit and SOX compliance process. You'll be based out of Calabasas, CA, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Internal Audit at The Cheesecake Factory Support Center. You'll thrive in this position if you're:

Responsibilities

Here's more of what you'll get to do:

• Work with the Senior Manager, Internal Audit, to assist with the annual SOX program, which includes walkthroughs and controls testing to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key internal controls over financial reporting.
• Assist in managing, tracking, and facilitating the successful remediation of all control deficiencies.
• Assist in preparing control deficiency aggregation analysis and reporting to senior management.
• Develop strong professional relationships with external auditors, involving coordinating walkthroughs and timing of testing, as well as providing the auditors with direct assistance in specific areas.
• Assist in effectively planning and performing operational audits and special projects.
• Manage AuditBoard, the SOX automation tool.
• Complete assigned areas within the operational audits and special projects.

Qualifications

What we require:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of audit, public accounting, internal audit, and/or SOX experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have or working towards CPA, CIA, or CISA designation.
• The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels

What we prefer:

• Public audit experience at a Big 4 or large regional firm.
• Working knowledge of auditing automated SOX controls including ITGC's.
