Talent Acquisition Lead
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Acquisition Lead to help scale a fast-growing biotechnology company during a pivotal stage of growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at identifying and engaging exceptional talent, and enjoys partnering closely with technical and scientific leaders to build high-performing teams.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on recruiter with strong sourcing capabilities, excellent recruiting judgment, and experience supporting high-volume hiring in biotech, life sciences, or other highly technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruiting across technical and business functions
- Proactively source and engage top-tier talent in highly competitive markets
- Partner directly with hiring managers and technical team leads to understand hiring needs and drive searches from kickoff through close
- Conduct recruiter screens and manage interview coordination throughout the hiring
- Build strong pipelines of talent through networking, referrals, and creative sourcing strategies
- Drive candidate engagement and maintain a high-quality candidate experience
- Serve as a trusted recruiting partner throughout the hiring process
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree plus additional relevant experience considered
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience recruiting within biotech, life sciences, or other technical industries
- Strong experience sourcing technical, scientific, or specialized talent
- Demonstrated ability to identify and engage passive candidates
- Experience recruiting in startup or high-growth environments preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working onsite full-time in San Diego
