Senior Accountant Our client, a Series D-funded advanced materials company in the semiconductor and electronics space, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. Location: South San Francisco, CA. This role is hybrid, with in-office expectations 3 days per week. Job Description: This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving accounting operations and supporting financial reporting across multiple entities. Responsibilities: Act as a major contributor in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis Review, investigate, and reconcile daily AP activities, including vendor wires and PO-to-invoice discrepancies Manage accruals and prepaid expense schedules, ensuring proper documentation and amortization Analyze operating expenses for classification and reporting consistency across entities Support process improvement initiatives and execute ad hoc projects as directed by management Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred 3–5 years of combined public and private accounting experience Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments Compensation: Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
