PsyD Program Administrative Assistant

Under the supervision of the PsyD Program's Senior Associate Program Director, the PsyD Program Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive support to the PsyD Program Director, faculty, staff, students, and administration. This role ensures the efficient operation of the Psychology Doctoral Program within the Graduate School of Psychology and Education Division.
Responsibilities are determined by division priorities, with a primary focus on administrative activities that support the PsyD program's functions, goals, and objectives. The PsyD Program Administrative Assistant collaborates closely with the Senior Associate Program Director, Program Director, Associate Dean of Psychology, and the Psy.D. Executive Committee to facilitate the program's effective administration.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures that govern daily operations, with particular emphasis on data and information management related to student matriculation, clinical training, and career progression.
Duties
- General Administrative Support : The Administrative Assistant works in close collaboration with the Senior Associate Program Director to ensure efficient operations within the Division. Support will be given in the areas of: admissions, student orientations, registration, clinical training, student examinations, dissertations, grades, class schedules, faculty support, graduation, alumni, professional development, and licensing. Assistance with database management and analysis in all areas mentioned above.
- Program Support : Provide support for PsyD and other Psychology team members when assistance is needed. Assist with orientation once a year and proctoring for PsyD students. three times per year and Participate in various team and committee meetings, as needed. Assist with GSEP annual commencement.
- Schedule Support : Maintains the PsyD calendar for staff and students, schedules meetings.
- Instructional Support : The Administrative Assistant works in close collaboration with the Assistants to the Associate Deans to ensure the efficiency of the PsyD program's instructional mission.
- Continuing Education and Professional Development : assist with coordinating CEs and maintains active contact with alumni in respect to professional development and the Continuing Education Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Skilled in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database programs.
- Skilled in Adobe Acrobat and/or other programs specific to the development of forms (paper and web-based).
- Training in web-based applications and in the preparation of web-based content.
- Experience in managing listservs and other forms of electronic communication, e.g., Twitter, electronic surveys and calendars.
- Work experience that required attention to detail, excellent organization and communication skills, independent follow-through.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of information/database management and media.
- Experience in a values-based, Christian institution and familiarity with graduate education in psychology as well as the profession of psychology.
- Experience in database management, editorial skills, web design, "self-starter" / innovator.
- Qualified individuals should have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position based at the West LA Graduate Campus.
Expected Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
