About the Job:

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at LandingAI, you will be responsible for developing and deploying scalable AI applications By joining LandingAI, you will work with top-notch AI and Engineering teams to define and build powerful AI products, such as the LandingLens computer vision AI platform. With LandingAI, you will have the opportunity to deploy and scale AI services into different industries and work with us to unlock the economic impact behind AI adoption.

• Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure and AI services. You will design, build, and scale the required infrastructure for Machine Learning services and data management with a focus on high availability, stable, low latency, scalability, and security. In this role, you will work closely with our Machine Learning Engineers and Technical Product Managers to understand the client and development requirements. You will be immersed in a highly dynamic and agile development environment.
• Build and deliver high-quality AI products to clients’ hands. You will be responsible for building world-class web applications and services ensuring internal/external client satisfaction. This responsibility has two aspects: first, you will work closely with our Product Managers to understand and solve the clients’ real business and product needs; second, you will make sure both web computing products perform reliably with low latency.
• Build internal tooling systems. Successful AI development is not only about the models used but also perfectly automatized pipelines. As a Software Development Engineer, you will boost our time-to-deployment by developing highly automated internal tools.
• Take responsibility for the full software development cycle. You will take responsibility for architecting, developing, deploying, monitoring/maintaining services that are owned by your team. You must keep a high standard on coding, testing, automation of deployment, and monitoring. You must always be willing to get your hands dirty on troubleshooting issues.

• CS Knowledge: Broad and deep foundation knowledge in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, OS, computer networks, databases and web development.
• Proven Technical Expertise: 5+ years of software development experience, focusing on frontend engineering.
• Experience with building user interfaces with HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Experience with frontend development and frameworks (such as next.js , react.js )
• Experience with web server frameworks in Node.js (such as express.js , koa.js )
• Strong Full-Stack Understanding: Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end web application systems, comfortable with API design, and a solid understanding of backend architecture. Able to design scalable solutions with a high degree of technical complexity.
• Product Development: Experience with end-to-end product development, including early stages of development, launching, and iterating on complex solutions in production environments.
• Mentorship Experience: Demonstrated experience leading front-end projects and mentoring other engineers. Capable of setting technical direction and establishing a strong technical presence within the team.
• Flexible Work Hours : Comfortable working with a globally distributed team.

• Experience with modern database such as Postgres, ideally with popular Javascript ORM as well, (such as sequelize.js , prisma.js )
• Experience with computer vision, LLMs, LMMs
• Experience with developer-facing products
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS technologies such as S3, EKS
• Experience working with international teams

$165,000 - $185,000 a year

Base + Equity + Benefits Package

Base Pay Range: For candidates in the SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area, the base pay is typically between $165,000 and $185,000 per year. We recognize the unique contributions of exceptional candidates and are open to discussing variations in compensation packages at the offer stage.

Although we are headquartered in Palo Alto, this is a hybrid role . The candidate should be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate, with the expectation to work from the Palo Alto office 2-3 days a week . The role will also require flexibility to collaborate with our international teams.
