Our client is a civil engineering and land development management company located in Costa Mesa, California. Established in 2007, they offer a wide range of services including civil engineering, dry utilities, and landscape architecture. They serve both corporate developers and individual landowners, providing client-focused and results-driven solutions. With a growing base of repeat clients, our client has become a trusted development partner in Southern California, with projects expanding across the United States.
Role Description
This is a full-time in-office role for a Design Civil Engineer. As a Design Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for civil engineering design, planning, and related tasks. You will collaborate closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Commit to teamwork and meeting project deadlines.
- Research, interpret, and apply city standards, codes, and zoning requirements as they relate to specific sites.
- Prepare grading, storm drain, utility, sewer, as-built, and street improvement plans under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Communicate with agencies and plan checkers.
- Prepare comment response letters.
- Adhere to company standards and core values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in Land Development.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- EIT certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
