Sterile Processing Technician
Sterile Processing Technician – Long Beach, CA.
Location: Long Beach, CA
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM)
Pay: $29–$32/hr
Contract: 13 Weeks Temp-to-Hire
Job Description:
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Assemble instrument trays and ensure accuracy for surgical procedures
- Operate sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washers, etc.)
- Maintain proper documentation and tracking of instruments
- Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards
- Collaborate with OR staff for timely instrument availability
Requirements:
- CRCST Certification (Required or Eligible)
- 1–2+ years of sterile processing experience
- Strong knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes
- Experience with instrument tracking systems preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
