Internal Auditor

The Lottery's mission is to provide supplemental funding for California’s public schools and colleges. To help meet our mission, we are looking for an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audits Team.
Associate Management AuditorYou will be responsible for independently planning, conducting, and reporting on the results of complex operational, performance, compliance, information systems, and financial related audits of the California State Lottery. You will act as the auditor-in-charge and exercise professional judgment and analytical skills throughout each phase of the audit engagement.
This position requires a current Associate Management Auditor exam. If you need to take the exam or if your score has expired, click to gain list eligibility. This position is headquartered at the Sacramento Headquarters location and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California. Working Conditions
Schedule: Full-time (8-hour days) with work hours between the times of 7am – 5pm PST
Travel: Travel may be required for conducting audits, local training, or off-site events.
Special Requirements
The California State Lottery Act provides that no person may be hired as an employee of the Commission if that person has been convicted of a felony or any gambling related offense.
The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
