Software engineer
La Jolla Logic is currently looking for multiple Software Engineers of varying years of experience and specialties (Jr, Mid, Sr levels) to join our team in developing next generation Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electromagnetic Warfare (EMW), and Information Operations (IO) systems solution for the Department of Defense (Sterling, VA). The next generation solution will enable enhanced combat systems integration, Open System Architectures, modularity, scalability, and increased automation utilizing machine learning and analytics.
This contract has been awarded and is a funded opportunity in San Diego, CA! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals on a program that leverages the best practices in Model-Based Systems Engineering and Agile software development to design, produce, field, test, and sustain state of the art capabilities across Navy surface combatant platforms and shore facilities in support of our nations warfighters. Candidates in this labor category may be involved in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, the following:- Responsible for designing, developing, operating and maintaining software, firmware components, or computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with solutions or products that also encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines.
- Applies the appropriate software standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system life cycle.
- Supports the generation of multi-disciplinary solutions and products such as intelligence tasking, control, exploitation and dissemination; command and control; situational awareness; digital signal processing; and modeling and simulation.
- Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.
- Experience levels: Junior (2 years), Mid (3-6 years), Sr. (7-11 years), SME (12+ years).
- Understanding of Software Architectures and Design or prior experience commensurate to years of experience in the field.
- Understanding of and/or prior experience in Software Engineering to include developing software requirements, design, integration, iterative process, testing, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Ability and/or willingness to learn new software engineering concepts, methods, processes.
- Active Secret clearance is required for consideration. TS/SCI upgrade may be required for some positions.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (ex: Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
