Position Summary

The Plant Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate costing, accounting records, and reporting to support plant operations and corporate initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain accurate costing and accounting records for plant operations, including labor, inventory, and materials.
• Safeguard plant assets and ensure internal controls over purchasing, receiving, and invoicing.
• Manage Plex standard cost system and review daily transactions for parts, labor, and margins.
• Track scrap, labor, and machine data, ensuring timely reporting and accurate financial records.
• Process customer invoices and assist with commission reporting.
• Support monthly financial reporting, year-end audits, and business plan submissions in partnership with the Group Controller.
• Collaborate with divisional management on operational initiatives and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
• Maintain organized records and safeguard essential costing systems.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, GAAP, and business operations.
• Skilled in accounting systems, ERP basics, and advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
