Service BDC Agent (Automotive Customer Service)

Business is booming and we are growing. Harbor Auto Group (Harbor Chevrolet & Harbor Hyundai in Long Beach) is looking for enthusiastic Business Development Center (BDC) representatives to join our growing dealership's Service team. You will be responsible for coordinating incoming requests made via telephone or online, booking appointments for the service department, and acting as a first point of contact for Service customers seeking information. We could easily call this position a “customer service agent” if that provides a better picture.
To be successful as a BDC representative, you should have a great attitude, be a team player, and can sound enthusiastic on every call. At Harbor, everything stops for the customer, so we are looking for professional and personable individuals, with a passion for raising the bar for great customer service.
Harbor Automotive is family owned and has been serving Long Beach since 1923 (We are celebrating 100 years). We are one of the oldest Chevrolet dealerships in the State of California. Essential Duties
- Answer all inbound calls and online inquiries for service department
- Follow-up with customers in response to their email
- Make customer satisfaction follow-up calls (post service)
- Receive all inbound service calls and coordinate schedules of service advisors and service appointments
- Contact all no-shows to reschedule missed appointments
- Establish personal goals that are consistent with the dealerships standards of productivity, and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
- Advise customers on special-order parts status, appointment reminders, and recall campaigns
- Provide the customer with excellent service and responsive follow-up
- Respond to customer inquires in a timely manner
- Support business in meeting goals established by dealership management
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors
- Other tasks as assigned
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
COMPENSATION:
This is an hourly position with a pay range between $20-23 per hour based on experience.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of six months of customer service experience required
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Highly organized, with an ability to learn quickly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Maintain records and prepare reports as necessary
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Professional and personable demeanor
- Must have drive, passion and confidence to be successful
- A desire and ability to work in a performance and process driven environment
- Able to work well in a team and be a team player
- Ability to perform a variety of general clerical and typing duties of average difficulty without close supervision (Must be proficient with typing)
- Ability to operate business equipment, including but not limited to computers, calculators, copy machines, and shredder
- High school diploma required
- Bilingual preferred
REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to Secure a DMV Sales License (not required to interview)
