Senior Project Architect (Branded Environments/Commercial Interiors)
You’ve been very impressed with how we stress personal and professional growth for each team member, and how we invest considerable time and resources into educating all staff members.
You’ve gotten great satisfaction from leading small, capable teams on several impressive restaurant projects. You’ve leveraged your restaurant experience and considerable design and management talent to create successful projects for the client, team and firm.
You’ve exhibited your formidable communication, management and people skills by keeping projects energized and moving forward. You’ve hitkey milestones despite a few curveballs. In light of your performance, you’ve made a raving fan of the client and helped the firm to further solidify a long term relationship with them.
After growing familiar with the firm, you took on two mentees and met with them every other week, reviewing progress towards their goals and coaching them to carve a constructive path forward.
You’ve set your own short, medium and long-term goals, and your first year of work at MMA has contributed significantly to these goals.
You’ve met with your mentor, a principal, four times, where you’ve discussed your life and career goals, and your progress towards them.
You’ll have participated in 14 Level-Up educational sessions and led two, teaching fundamental philosophies and best practices applicable to everyday practice. This has helped fuel professional growth all-around.
You’ve participated in over 50 weekly firm-wide meetings, where we socialize, plan the work week ahead, and dedicate time for educational moments, new learnings and sharing project progress.
In addition to restaurant projects, you appreciate the variety of other commercial interior projects you’ve led, from fast and fun retail tenant improvement projects to hospitality-forward healthcare spaces.
You still marvel at how well stocked the Nespresso machine is, and at how Brian brews a killer dark roast coffee.
You’ve been impressed with how we are completely dedicated to the continual improvement of the firm, including how we operate, how we communicate with our clients and each other, and how we perform for the client, project and team.
We are seeking an affable, dedicated, hardworking Senior Project Architect with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills experienced in restaurant and commercial interiors projects to be a competent, capable and supportive project leader. The role includes:
Autonomously leading the management and in some cases the design vision of high-end restaurant and commercial interior projects
Creating raving fans of our clients
Helping mentor and guide the architectural staff
Overseeing quality control of design and production documents and advancing our already well-developed firm standards and procedures
You should be eager to bring a positive attitude every day, stay humble, learn from others, share your knowledge and to be an integral contributor to the team.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an NAAB accredited school of architecture
15 years of relevant experience in architecture, including a minimum of 10 years of restaurant and commercial interior experience
