Business Data Analyst III
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Data Analyst III to join their team in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities:
- Business Data Analyst III will create and manage success metrics and leading indicators that provide a holistic understanding of performance of key M&C initiatives
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, data collection processes, and dashboards for operational reporting and exploratory analysis, and provide training to empower stakeholders to self-serve for the client's brand health and reputation KPIs
- Prepare and present reports and dashboards that measure performance for internal and external communications (social media, earned media)
- Measure the impact of marketing activities using advanced analytical approaches (e.g., attribution, a/b tests, geo experiments, and incrementality models) to help inform strategies, plans, and tactics on an on-going basis
- Produce actionable analyses across product/web, marketing, and program functions to influence organizational strategy for the client for education; Establish and promote best practices for reporting strategies, data visualization, data interpretation and data integrity
- Communicate and influence across all levels of the organization, present analytical findings and recommendations in a clear and concise way to non-technical audiences, both in oral and written presentations
- Identify opportunities for developing new data sources, and provide technical leadership around making those data sources high-quality and broadly available
- As a Business Data Analyst III, you will pursue data quality, troubleshoot data anomalies, validate data accuracy, and drive issues to resolution
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across different teams and businesses on cross-functional projects or analytics capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Economics or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- 5+ years of experience working in a data analytics role supporting marketing and web
- Hands-on experience with web and product analytics and clickstream data to support event tracking and instrumentation (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Segment, marketing attribution) preferred
- Hands-on expertise with Python and statistical modeling techniques (e.g. regression, classification, time series) to answer a wide range of measurement questions
- Fluency in data analysis, including defining KPIs, statistical and predictive modeling concepts, descriptive statistics, customer segmentation, and funnel analysis
- Technical proficiency in SQL, Databricks, Qlik Sense, Tableau, and GitHub
- Familiarity with market mix modeling and multi-touch attribution is a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to consistently produce accurate and error-free work even under tight deadlines
- Demonstrates strong business acumen and curiosity
- Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking
- Ability to tell stories clearly and concisely with data, and how they drive business outcomes
- Ability to lead through influence across all levels and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines
