Adelphi is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to provide services at a correctional facility in Mendota, California. The ideal candidates will provide direct nursing care to inmates while ensuring adherence to established standards of care and practice.

Requirements:

• Valid and unrestricted California RN license.
• BLS (AHA).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.
• Conduct medical assessments, including health histories, physical exams, and lab tests.
• Administer medications via various methods (oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular) as prescribed.
• Assist in the distribution of medications at pill lines and monitor patient responses to therapy.
• Respond to medical emergencies and manage injuries (e.g., splinting and immobilization).
• Participate in the daily operation of the health clinic and conduct sick calls.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all patient interactions, including medical histories, reports, and evaluations.
• Comply with health and safety protocols, including infection control policies, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in planning, implementing, and revising treatment plans.
• Any other duties as assigned.
