Workplace Experience Lead

Our workplace should feel like an extension of that philosophy: thoughtful, high-quality, and built for creators.About the RoleWe’re looking for an Workplace Experience Lead who thinks like a host, operates like a founder, and sweats the details.This role owns the in-office experience end-to-end—from how the space feels when you walk in, to the quality of coffee, to the energy during lunch and events. You’ll design an environment that supports deep work, spontaneous collaboration, and meaningful shared moments.Events are a core part of how we build culture at Replit—from team lunches to launches, offsites, and community moments. You’ll treat these experiences like a product: intentional, well-executed, and continuously improving.Food, snacks, and beverages are not an afterthought—they’re part of how we bring people together. This is a hands-on role for someone with startup experience who can build systems from scratch while keeping quality high. What You’ll DoOwn the Foster City ExperienceCreate a workplace experience that feels intentional, welcoming, and distinctly “Replit”Act as the day-to-day host of the office—setting the tone, energy, and standardsContinuously gather feedback and iterate quickly to improve the in-office experiencePartner with Workplace Leadership and internal teams to align the workplace with how Replit works bestLead Events & ExperiencesOwn the planning and execution of internal events (team lunches, demos, launches, offsites)Design experiences that bring builders together and strengthen cultureManage event logistics end-to-end (vendors, run-of-show, budgets, setup/teardown)Introduce new, creative event formats and continuously raise the bar on qualityEnsure events feel seamless, intentional, and reflective of Replit’s brandBuild & Run a Best-in-Class Food ProgramOwn the full food and beverage experience: meals, snacks, coffee, and everything in betweenCurate offerings that are high-quality, diverse, and genuinely excitingDevelop relationships with local vendors, chefs, and suppliersEnsure consistency in quality, presentation, and availability day-to-dayIntroduce new ideas regularly (rotating menus, themed meals, seasonal experiences)Manage budget thoughtfully—maximize impact per dollarMaintain food safety and operational excellenceOperate & Scale the WorkplaceOwn day-to-day office operations (supplies, cleanliness, layout, maintenance)Build lightweight, scalable systems that grow with the companyManage vendors and contracts across food, facilities, and eventsAnticipate needs before they become problemsThink Like a BuilderTreat the workplace and events as a product—measure, iterate, improveUse feedback, observation, and data to guide decisionsMove fast, test ideas, and refine based on what worksStay plugged into trends in workplace experience, hospitality, and events What We’re Looking For3–7+ years of experience in a startup environment (required)Experience in workplace management, hospitality, operations, and/or event managementProven ability to plan and execute events end-to-endStrong ownership mindset—you don’t wait to be told what to fixDeep attention to detail and high standards for qualityExperience managing food programs, catering, or vendor relationshipsExcellent organizational and execution skillsComfortable operating in ambiguity and building from 0 → 1Strong interpersonal skills—you naturally create positive, human experiences Nice to HaveBackground in hospitality, culinary, or food & beverage programsExperience running offsites or large-scale internal eventsExperience at high-growth startupsPassion for food, coffee, and creating memorable in-person experiences What Success Looks LikeThe workplace feels alive, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for buildersEvents are consistently high-quality, well-run, and meaningfulFood and beverage experiences are widely lovedEmployees choose to come in because the environment adds real valueOperations run smoothly, any friction is intentionalThe workplace and events scaled seamlessly with the companyThis is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office.
