Under the direction of the Administrator I within the Business Services Unit, the Postal Liaison & Budget Support Analyst performs a variety of tasks in support of the varied and complex functions within the Business Services Unit. Working closely with internal customers, vendors, and subject matter experts to prepare accurate reports, supporting documentation, and update management on industry standards and changing regulations. Reviews and analyzes legislation and United States Postal Services (USPS) mandates that impact the department’s mail and warehouse operations. Works with management and senior staff to identify, design, enhance, and maximize Business Services enterprise services including SharePoint and self-service options.

Working Conditions
- This position is eligible for limited remote working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework. This is subject to change.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to clearly demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications and Alternate Range Placement for the position on your State Application (STD Form 678). - Knowledge of United States Postal Service regulations
- Ability to prepare clear, well-written and well-organized documents

- Experience in budgets or financial services (Ex. Schedule 3, personnel forcasting, loan officer, banking, etc)
- Experience writing issue papers, procedures, or manuals
- Experience in a warehouse or mailroom environment

- Ability to make sound decisions and come up with alternatives

- Experience with contracts, (Ex. Writing, reviewing, working with vendors and subject matter experts, etc)
